Elya Nabila Abdul Bahri

Short Biography:
Dr. Elya Nabila Abdul Bahri is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Economics, Faculty of Business and Economics, Universiti Malaya. She received her PhD in Economics from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. Her research expertise includes applied econometrics, labor economics, development economics, financial economics, international economics, and macroeconomics. She also teaches econometric courses namely Econometric Theory and Methods and Econometric for Economic Analysis for postgraduate students in Universiti Malaya. She has conducted many econometric workshops since 2017 including cross-section, time series and panel data methods organized by the universities, associations, industries, banks, and research institutions. Her current research works on minimum wage, retirees’ wellbeing, woman labor force, work-life balance, labor economics, public delivery system, and financial economics. She has 17 years of working experience in academic, research, and administrative positions in various private organizations before joining Universiti Malaya in 2019. She has published several publications in SSCI, Scopus journals, book, and chapter in book. She received the research grants as a principal investigator from Impact-Oriented Research Grant (IIRG), Tun Ismail Ali Chair (TIAC) Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM), and Social Wellbeing Research Centre (SWRC).
